Coaching
What is Coaching?
Coaching happens through one-on-one learning sessions designed for today's busy executives, managers, and individual contributors who do not have the time to attend seminars or workshops, but are focused on continuous improvement to stay competitive in today's demanding work environment. The process is customized to each client's development needs, and every session will contain practical take-away actions that can be implemented right away.
“Lauren is a very effective executive coach. She has an uncanny ability to assess your qualities and areas for improvement and very quickly begins to help make a difference in the way you lead.”
Phase 1: Contracting
The first step is getting to know you. In order to develop a plan that best suits your abilities and professional trajectory, we must understand your objectives.
Phase 2: Assessment and Development Planning
Next we collect information about your style, preferences, work history, interests, and other key factors through any combination of the following methods:
Assessment tools such as the Birkman Method, Communication Styles Inventory, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and Thomas Killmann Conflict Mode Instrument
A 360-degree feedback tool to gather information from managers and colleagues to determine public perception or reviewing existing feedback documents such as previous performance or peer reviews
Interviews with key clients, associates, direct reports, or team members to gather personal insights
Phase 3: Coaching Sessions
The third phase involves one-on-one coaching with Lauren. These meetings typically last an hour and can be conducted virtually or in person, depending on convenience, preference and availability.
Phase 4: Evaluation
As the coaching plan winds down, you and Lauren will note specific behavioral changes together. She can gather feedback from your boss and any other key counterparts, and share it with you, if you desire. You will end with a final meeting to debrief the process, share feedback, and determine next steps.
